Hi everyone — I’m Tobi, the founder of Workacross. I just wanted to take a moment to properly welcome you.

I created this space because I believe that starting a cross-border life is anything but easy — I’m speaking from personal experience.

There’s the paperwork, deadlines, forms and endless paragraphs. On top of that, I got tired of reading through hundreds of Reddit posts and websites just to find answers to questions I urgently needed help with. I felt there had to be a better way. That’s how Workacross came about.

Whether you’ve just joined, are still looking around, or have already started getting involved, you’re very welcome here. This community is intended to be a friendly place where you can ask questions, share experiences, discover useful information and meet people who understand where you’re coming from. You don’t need to have all the answers, and you don’t need to be an expert. Just bring your own perspective. Don’t be shy — give it a try!

A little about me: I’m Tobi, I’m 27 years old, and I’ve been living the cross-border life between France and Switzerland since February 2026. I enjoy gaming, nerdy stuff, biking and travelling around the world.

But enough about me — I’ll be around, listening, learning and doing my best to make this a genuinely useful and welcoming place for everyone.
